This is one of the songs by this popular 90s artist that I heard like a decade after they had disbanded that made me go, “Huh. Maybe most of their music didn’t suck after all.” Its somber, perhaps even melodramatic theatricality is much more to my liking than their saccharine pop singles I was exposed to as a child, and I think if I’d heard this first I would have liked them a lot earlier. R.I.P. Super Dave.
