Whoa, while I wasn’t looking this Sudanese hip hop artist released a bunch more albums I wasn’t aware of. I found out about him first through an article in Rolling Stone magazine. I thought his backstory as a child soldier was compelling, and when I looked up his songs I found them to be quite sonically pleasing, too. This, I believe, is the first song of his I heard. It’s clear the lyricist is not a native English speaker, but I still think it’s worth listening to for the sake of getting another person’s perspective.
