Kaoru Wada - Kikyou's Theme

OK, first of all, I LOVE the character Kikyou, from the manga/anime Inu Yasha. Everyone else hated her, but she was my favorite character. I have a thing for tragic, beautiful, strong characters, and this theme music for the character is tragic, beautiful, and strong to match.

This piece is from the soundtrack of the movie for the anime InuYasha, which shares a name with the song except for the “II” part. I never watched the movie, but I somehow came across this theme years ago and loved it. For some reason, part 1 of this song (which features harp and oboe or something) is much easier to find, but I think this one is more beautiful so I was determined to post it instead. Always go with the strings!

This is the theme song of one of my longtime favorite fictional characters, Kikyou, from the anime series Inu Yasha. I love me some tragic figures, and this track nicely encapsulates her beauty, majesty, and sadness. Oh man, after all these years I'm still such a fangirl...
