I just found out this artist is planning to release their second album this year, and I’m excited. This, however, is one of their older songs, back from their demos in fact. I’m still fascinated by Renee Phoenix’s gritty singing voice.

Gggggggggggggggggg. That’s the sound I make when I hear the lead singer’s awesome growly androgynous voice. There’s a tad bit of profanity.

I found this artist and song through a music recommendation thread on a message board. Believe it or not, the lead singer is a woman. The fact that this singer at first listen sounds like a dude but is actually female is… quite appealing to me. XD
