I was just describing this artist’s style to my friend as distinctive and instantly recognizable for a number of reasons, including her tendency to incorporate Middle Eastern influences in her compositions and Latin words into her song titles. Then my friend sent this song to me, which perfectly exemplifies both points I was talking about! When I watched the ultra-popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, whose soundtrack this piece is from, right off the bat I identified the music as the work of the famed anime composer because it had her trademark sounds all over it.
