Cliché choice, I know, but it’s still a good song. There’s a reason why it’s popular! It’s depressing, ‘cause it’s about a poor, drug-addicted prostitute’s weary existence. I like it because of the unusual subject matter (especially for mainstream radio, where it’s been playing) and the poetic lyrics use literary techniques I’m mostly accustomed to hearing in hip hop songs. I listened to this artist’s whole album, but I need to review it before I post a different song from it.
